So while checking out The Big Noob, I was informed of this great deal where if you buy someone an iTunes gift certificate through Paypal, you get free songs. I got really excited and started planning on buying myself some iTunes credits to get free songs when I remembered that despite its obvious conveniences, I hate iTunes and the whole idea of buying music online.
Why?
Well lack of liner notes is a pretty obvious one, but more importantly, when you buy music online you most likely don’t get all the freedoms to do with that song what you should according to fair use. Limited number of burns, limited number of computers you can play it on, limited number of devices (and only to an iPod in the case of iTunes) , and poorer quality are just a handful of reasons why buying music online simply sucks. I still have $5.99 in iTunes credit though (won it through something like buying a Slurpee) so we’ll see what guilty pleasures get purchased in the future.
That’s the sort of thing you use to buy Crazy in Love or Hung Up.
